Asian Life Insurance Company, established under the Insurance Act 2049, received its operating license from Beema Samiti on February 27, 2008, and commenced operations on April 3, 2008. It holds the distinction of being the first life insurance company in Nepal to obtain such a license.

The company's authorized capital stands at Rs. 1,000 million, with Rs. 671.32 million currently paid up—70% contributed by promoters and the remaining 30% by the general public. The ownership structure includes 77 promoters, comprising two institutional and 75 individual investors. Notably, the institutional promoters consist of reputable finance and development banks within Nepal, including:

• Guheshwori Merchant Banking & Finance Ltd., Lalitpur

The board of directors and individual investors include respected leaders from various sectors such as banking, insurance, financial institutions, and private enterprises, as well as individuals with significant experience in government services.
